Timing tends to be very tight. I send my engineering students, after they learn to micro-edit sloppy rhythm parts in ProTools, to see a band at Latin dance night. They usually come back with a new appreciation for the the players.

The Beethoven example is typical of much Classical and early Romantic fare.
